The experience
of skydiving is like no other! While many hide behind their fears of height,
others such as yourself ponder about the thrilling intimacy of defying
gravity. Imagine the excitement of being 14,000 feet in the air, hanging
out of an airplane, releasing yourself of fear and anxiety while falling
at a speed of around 120 mph!
Welcome to Savannah Skydiving. If you are eager to turn
that dream of skydiving into a reality, it's only a phone call away. Savannah
Skydiving will assist you in selecting the first skydive that is right
for you, provide you with expert training, and be with you all throughout
the most thrilling feat of your life!
At Savannah Skydiving you will be accompanied on your
skydive by the most enthusiastic USPA certified Skydive professionals
involved in skydiving! Use the information provided below to choose which
first jump you wish to make at Savannah Skydiving.
*To make any skydive you must be at least 18 years of age.
Tandem Jump
Savannah Skydiving highly recommends this method
for your first skydive. Tandem skydives require the least amount of training
(usually less than an hour), and maintain the highest degree of safety.
Your instructor will be with you through the entire skydive and parachute
ride. Your jump will include approximately 70 seconds of freefall, followed
by a canopy ride that lasts anywhere from 7 to 9 minutes. Should you request
it, you may also assist in steering the parachute.
Accelerated Freefall
AFF is the most advanced method of training to become
certified to skydive on your own. Before your first jump you will attend
a 4 to 6 hour training class that will teach you the fundamentals of skydiving.
Your jump is made in the company of two USPA rated AFF Jump masters who
provide direct assistance during the exit and freefall. You will have
the opportunity to deploy your pilot chute, which will release your main
canopy. Once your parachute is deployed, you will (with radio assistance)
control a solo parachute descent back to the drop zone.
